I bought these pants for my 13 year old son for a trip to Costa Rica thinking that the zip-off pant would be convenient. While he found these pants to be lightweight and extremely comfortable, he did not like the length of the shorts - they hit mid-thigh, and thus were never used as shorts.
Too bad, b/c with a longer short, they'd be awesome.
The fit is perfect and the zip-leg pants that will provide verzatile pants and/or shorts. The material is cotton and lightweight. I would recommend this to all of my friends.
