I bought these pants for my partner and he loves them - wears them every day. Lightweight fabric, very comfortable. It took a while to get the lighter color - I guess LLBean was out of it. But finally we got the perfect summer pants. So far he hasnt zipped off the bottom but he likes the option because he is always worried about being too hot in the summer.
My husband is a hard-core cowboy Wrangler wearer. But there are times when something more comfy is needed. He was hesitant at first but LOVED them when he wore them to a friend's back yard BBQ. He said they were comfy, cool and light. He's not a big fan of the built in jockey shorts, but again he liked them and said they were comfortable and not binding. The pants washed up well. Just a light iron and they looked new. He liked them so well we bought another pair in a different color. Another great product by LL Bean.
Bought these with the idea of wearing them in the sub-tropics/tropics. Took them to the Pine Keys in South Florida and fished 9 out of 10 days in May. Hooked up a lot of fish in 80's-90's weather. Loved the non sticking net under liner and quick drying fabric as we waded and ran around in bay boats. These are going to Aruba with a second pair in December for 14 days of fishing. My fishing buddies are buying them too for the trip.
