I just purcased and went on 4 day steelhead trip in Ohio. Pack is layed out very well for conveniece. Built in wader belt/ lumbar support is fantastic for your body. Highly recommend
I love this vest. it fits my needs. often when i go fishing I hike far from my vehicle or fish from a drift boat, and all the pockets both front and back allow me to take what I need. the back pockets are great. I really like the that I have the option to enlarge the pocket to fit a jacket. I like the waist belt. it takes pressure off my shoulders, and relieves stress off my lower back. I love how versatile it is. definitely no complaints. I guess I just need to see how well it holds up with use over time. LL bean's products are usually very reliable so I'm expecting the best. The single best fishing vest ever made. It is so comfortable you will forget you're wearing it. The lumbar support takes ALL of the weight off of your shoulders. An abundance of pockets and D-rings. Stick a rod tube, raincoat and lunch in the backpack for hike-ins. Cool in the summer; adjust the webbing to fit over a jacket in winter. Don't spend more on some other company's vest (you know who I mean), it will not be this good. I love this vest so much I want to wear it even when I'm not fishing. Did I mention how comfortable this vest is!!!!!!!!.
I've had surgery on both shoulders for bone spurs and still have some discomfort from applied pressure. This vest takes the pressure off of the shoulder and puts it on the hips. It's incredibly comfortable. There are plenty of accessible pockets for all the tools of the trade.
