this vest pack is well designed. But after reviewing all the compartments I noticed a missed opportunity- there is no way to afix a rod tub to this vest if you need to travel to that remote secret hole. All it would have taken is a flexable band or velcro strap and a pocket for the rod tube end. Other than that I would recommend this to anyone who likes to have his "things" handy.
My vest arrived in the mail from the US after much anticipation. I had read all of the previous reviews before buying and totally agree with all of the positive ones. This is a first class vest that provides a great level of independence for a long day's fishing. I like to spend all day out walking the rivers and the provision for the rehydration bladder is perfect. My biggest concern about ths vest was whether it would stand up to the tough Australian conditions. Well I can tell that the construction of the vest is so good that I will have no fears with it as I trapes throught the bush to get to those secluded spots on the rivers. It has a place for everything and then some. It even has two rod butt loops in the lower section of the vest (contrary to one reviewer that said it didn't) but could do with a velcro loop built in to hold the shaft. I have easily overcome this with a small peice of contiuous velco strap through one of the D rings. Other than that, I cannot think of anything else that could be added. They have thought of everything for this one!! I am looking forward to my next fishing trip just so I can use this vest.
