Panorama Trekker's Pack Staff, September 16, 2009
By kwmar from Greenville, SC

"This is a great hiking pole. It's very similar to the only other manufactured stick I've ever owned, which is still going strong after about 10 years, but is not adjustable, as is the Panorama. This pole is made by Leki in the Czech Republic. A lot of attention was given to craftsmanship as well as looks. The wooden knob on top hides the monopod screw attachment for cameras, but I like it as a smooth hand grip, especially for descending over large rocks and steep drops in the trail. The Leki locking mechanism seems to be effective...no problems so far."

LLBean Panorama Trekker staff, June 24, 2009
By Oregonhiker from Seaside, OR

"After trying to buy this pole (originally known as the Nat. Geo. Horizon pole) for 3 months I finally found it at LLBean.
I put in an order for it for the July 3 arrival date. It came about 2 weeks early and it works really good. It has the solid build and balance of most Leki poles. And best of all I can mount my camera on it and and stand up straight to take pictures.

I love this trecking pole!, November 27, 2008
By Uncoordinated from Upstate NY

"I love how lightweight the staff is. I must admit that I was not sure if I would like the wrist strap or not but it is great because I do not have to lay down the staff if I need to use both hands. I find the round top useful when going down a steep spot. It held my considerable weight without collapsing in at all. I would reccommend it for everyone, not just people looking at it for the camera support. I am not a thin person and I had been concerned about it holding up to my weight on it. We hiked extensively in the North Cascades this Aug with it and I wondered why I used a wooden staff for so long when this is SO much better. My only complaint is that it became difficult to adjust the height but I have just received a replacement. I love it and hope the new one works better when I need to adjust the height of the pole. I think I will even buy a second one if this one works. Otherwise I love it and wonder why I waited so many years to get it instead of the wooden walking staff I had. When taken apart it fits well in an average suitcase. I love it."

Tall and Sturdy, October 3, 2008
By ADKcamper from Niskayuna, NY

"I bought this pole mainly to use with my camera in low light situations without having to carry a tripod along the trail. I am 6'7" tall and I can adjust the pole high enough to take photos without bending down. It is also very sturdy for hiking. I have no complaints so far."

First time pole, September 27, 2008
By hikepicteach from Chesterton, IN

"I had not used a pole before, but a hike into the Grand Canyon seemed to recommend it. It was very useful. Not only was it there when the footing was difficult, but it adjusted easily and quickly to meet my needs. It took some fo the strain off of my knees. My second trip into the Canyon, I used two poles and they worked great as well, but I missed the use of the monopod for my camera. For light overnights or day hiking, I take this pole, since it serves many purposes well."
