Just completed a 41 mile hike through the Smoky Mtn part of the AT. This pack was fantastic. I upgraded from another pack used on a similar hike last year and have no regrets. The strap system is very functional and doesn't slip. The belt is very comfortable and hugged my hips quite well (I have a 30 inch waste and have had trouble with other packs.) Storage space and access was great, too. I have no complaints and recommend this pack.
When the pack first arrived, I called it a Baby backpack - there was no way it could hold 4,400 cu. in. Boy, was I fooled. By the time I had it loaded, it put my old packs to shame. I carried about 45 lbs into the Grand Canyon for 4 days and was not in any discomfort. Loved the suspension harness and the air flow across the back. It has too many features to brag about. A wonderful pack! Thanks to the Bean Specialist that helped me find the right size pack for my build - it made a huge difference.
