This light is great to hang from the roof of your tent to help get settled before going to sleep. The remote is very nice as you can get all setteld in and not have to get up to turn the light off. I wouldn't recommend it though as a source of lighting outside of your tent as the light isn't bright enough to provide much illumination in a large area.
We purchased this mini lantern for an extended camping trip. It was easy to use, and gave great light in our tent. The best part was climbing into our sleeping bags, then turning off the lantern hanging from the top of the tent.
We bought this a few years back as a light for our tent. We found it not very bright and the remote didn’t always work. We also found that it ate batteries up pretty quick for an LED. We returned it.
