This is a great little lantern. I love the fact it has a remote control. It will be handy to have around in case of a lightning storm when the power goes out.
The problem with this lamp pertains to the remote control. It has three settings; on, off and remote. When the remote control setting is chosen, the lamp is using battery power, almost as much as leaving the lamp on. So, the batteries are drained within one to two days, even if the lamp is not lit! The remote control doesn't work any longer after the batteries die. It was a nice idea; it doesn't work however.
I ordered 2 of these lanterns and they are great! Nice and bright and the remote is very conveinent. Very well worth the price which I think is reasonable for this item. My Son loved his and wants to use it for his car! We are very happy with this Lantern!
I bought this little lantern expecting it to be much brighter than it actually is. The remote control is a fun feature, however I left it in the standby mode (which is how to utilize the remote) and the batteries wore out rather quickly. It does cast enough lite to be a nite lite in a tent, but not to illuminate a campsite.
