It's great! We use it often and the icecream comes out very good! Great recipes! The only problem is my kids get tired of rolling and shaking the ball after about 30 seconds and they have 20 more minutes to go! We make it a game and fun for the kids by doing "hot potato" and rolling it!
I've used this ice cream ball as a conversation "ice breaker" at a dinner party. It turned out to be great fun with a lot of laughs. I have also used it with the grandchildren as a summer treat around the campfire. It does take a bit of muscle and patience to produce the ice cream, but it is well worth the effort. The quart size is a must if you have more than two or three people hungry for ice cream.
The ball was heavier than I expected and the entire process was a bit messier than expected but the kids had a great time. The ball got dirty from rolling it around. I rinsed the ball thoroughly before opening it each time and everything was fine. The ice cream was ready right on time and it was thick and tasted pretty good.
