my kids got this as a christmas gift. they LOVE it!!! they have so much fun making ice cream with it. we bought the flavor packets too and that makes it even more fun!
Bought two for my kids (ages 6 & 11) for Christmas. They really enjoy making their own ice cream, but the real treat is eating it! The ice cream is very good. We only tried the basic recipe...many more options to try when we are camping this year. Bought another as a birthday gift for my niece (age 10) because she enjoyed it so much too! The ball itself is very durable, high quality. I recommend this product!
This was a gift for my husband for Christmas. It is fun to do, but not as much fun as we thought. It is too heavy when filled with the necessary ingredients and it has a very rough hard plastic exterior to really use with our small children. If we had gotten the smaller version then the amount of ice cream wouldn't have been enough and the time it takes to make the ice cream would have been too long to be any fun.
Ours broke upon first use. When we first began rolling it, the ice cream began seeping out of the seal. We discovered the seal was finicky, and figured out how to seal it better. We heeded all the warnings about rolling it and not throwing it. Someone held it about a foot off the floor and dropped it onto carpeting beside the person that was going to roll it after we fixed the seal. It cracked and began seeping salt water all over the floor. Overall, it was a real disappointment to the kids who were looking forward to rolling it around.
