The L.L. Bean hunting line (upland, especially) is highly underappreciated. It's flat-out great stuff and this waxed-cotton vest is no exception. At half the price, I'd put it all up against the likes of all the higher-end entries you'll see out there. It's proven to be tough and versatile through a couple South Dakota pheasant hunts so far.
Best vest out there,particularly for the money.There's nothing about mine I don't like.The catalog doesn't mention two small pockets just inside the front load openings...useful for spare ammo,etc.
