LL Bean makes a quality union suit, no doubt. However, unless you're in a super cold climate - way below freezing temps - this will bee too much. Instead, go with 100% cotton or one with less wool. Another gripe I have about this suit is that it hangs down so low in the crotch, way too baggy! Also, I found the wool to be a bit itchy against my skin. I stand 5-9 to 5-10 and weigh about 190 with 43 inch chest and the Large fit fine. Medium would have been too small. Hope this honest review helps the next buyer.
My husband loves this Union suit. It has become his favorite winter pajamas. They are equally as soft as they are warm with the added benefit of no binding around the waist like you get with separate pajama pants and top making them perfect for pajamas or a base layer in cold weather. My husband works a twelve hour night shift often dealing with cold weather so this Union suit will be perfect for those particularly chilly nights. All in all this is a great set of long johns that need absolutely zero improvement!
Not sure who this is sized for. I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam and legs were 2-3" too short. Abdomen was 3-4" too long, so the seat sagged like a gangsta wannabe kid in high school wears their pants. This was quickly returned. Hoping this was a manufacturing error, and not the intended size.
