I purchased this for a gift and he was very pleased. As always with ll beans quality is high material was soft and well made. Keeps it shape well. Would highly recommend this product
I had this item on my Wish List for quite some time, but once I had it and found that it did not feel at all like Merino Wool, I had to return it. I’ve purchased merino wool from other brands and can comfortably wear it directly against my skin, (not even lined with cotton) all day during physically activity. I think someone ‘pulled the wool’ over the L.L. Bean purchasing department.
My wife purchased these for me for Christmas. After wearing them on a weekly basis for several months now, i must say i am rather disappointed.
First off, the fit is weird. The torso is too long and the legs too short.
The buttons do not stay buttoned. I am constantly having to re-button them.
And after only three months, it is falling apart at the seems. I have already had to repair the ankle cuff on one leg. And now the seams in the upper leg are coming apart.
I will say the union suit is very warm. Just not up to the quality i would expect from LL Bean.
The quality of this item was exactly what I expected from L L Bean. Good fabric and construction. The fit just didn't work for me. The legs and arms were the right length in the regular medium but the torso was way too long. I would say it was at least 6"-8" too long. If you had a bit of a belly to fill it out, it would be perfect but if you want a slim fit on a 6' frame, it was too long. Or if you have an extra long torso, this is the union suit for you. As always, the return was a simple and easy process.
