Got this for Christmas, I have not left its warmth since putting on. Had to blow snow today, combined with my LLBean's flannel lined jeans, fleece pullover and LL Bean coat and wool mittens, I could stay outside all day today and not get cold!
These will be base layer on my days off during the Winter.
I really like this loungewear/undergarment. The river driver shirt has always been my LL Bean favorite so I knew this would have credibility. I usually wear this as loungewear after work in cold winter months. Also, for cold outdoor work-these work great underneath a pair of overalls: shovel snow with these underneath, come back inside, lose the wet outerwear and be cozy warm with only these on. I could get these on under regular jeans but if real tight jeans (which I never would wear), that would be a problem. Not something you would wear under office attire. Also, I did not have any issues with the buttons gapping or coming undone as some reported. Maybe some improvements were made prior to 2017. Additionally, although the extra fabric does gap well below the crotch - I think the extra fabric is needed. When I stretch out on the sofa or bed, or experience a full-body yawn -- the fabric allows for that without a binding fit. These are very comfortable and well made. Would certainly purchase again.
Received item as promised but wish they would use USPS. Item is warm but the button bottom is no good (way to small) and the buttons in front need to be replaced with a zipper. The cotton lining helps but the wool still itches a little bit.
This union suit is extremely well-made. I'm 6'0" 190lbs and wear clothes on the slightly fitted/slim end of the spectrum(33 waist Levis, M-L shirt sizes, etc.), and after reading some other reviews about the sizing being a little large on this, I ordered the medium. It fits perfectly. The two layers are a perfect modern update to the old waffle red(or grey) union suit. I've only just tried it on since receiving it, but the buttons and holes don't seem low-quality like some reviewers have said. I don't foresee there being a problem with open flaps or anything. If you're wearing it all day around the house there's bound to be some stretching of openings and such, but as a base layer it won't be seen anyways. I bought this suit to use as a base layer for snowboarding, but it fits great overall and feels high-quality. I recommend it.
