I got tired of fighting to keep longjohns up under my bibs. These union suits are warm and very comfortable under my wool bibs. No more trying to reach in to pull up my longjohns when hunting or trapping. Also, the heat from the legs travels up under these keeping me warm. The old loggers used to wear these and now I know why. Sometimes the old fashioned stuff is best. I bought four of these union suits including two for my 8 year old granddaughter who traps with me.
I work outside and always wear a union suit. This was my first insulated or two layer and I couldn't be happier with it. It was a little big out of the box but after the first wash it's perfect. I'm 6'1" 190lbs and the large is spot on. Hope this helps....
I ordered the red Union suit in XL for my husband. He had been wanting one for a long time. He is very particular when it comes to his clothes. Well, LLBean did not disappoint. He tried it on immediately and loved it! He is 6'0, 220lbs. The XL fit him perfectly...a little roomy which was nice. The fabric is so soft, I could see why he didn't want to take it off. Being from Arizona, we have a short window to enjoy warm and cozy clothes. In my husbands case, he travels for a living, so he will get a lot of use out of this Union suit. I highly recommend this, in fact I am so jealous, I want one for myself! Thanks LLBean for making such a quality product for a very reasonable price!
Just received my gray Union Suit as the wind chill here in New York City during the day and night is now in the single digits. Though the specs say it's not itchy, I've found it to be a bit itchy but nothing that a tee shirt worn under it can't cure.
Typical high quality material and fit that you've come to expect from LLBean. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs to stay warm whether they're indoors or out.
