your sizing chart does not represent the true size of this garment.I was gifted a size small. I am 5'7" 140 pounds and the crotch of this garment goes down 3/4 of the way to my knees,if I was your suggested minimum height of 5'8" I guess it would only reach half way to my knees. Either way I feel that this is unacceptable in a base layer, which in my opinion should be kind of tight fitting so layers can be added with no bunching. This make the fly useless. The claimed waist of 28 to 30 inches is a joke, the waist size on this garment is at least 36 inches.I am guessing that the ideal body size for your small sized garments is 5'11" tall and 215 pounds light. If some one is sized to fit the lower half of this union suit the "barn-door" would be woefully undersized.for its primary function. Since this is a critical comment I am sure You will not let it be posted. Buyer beware. My 1 star rating is an overrating.
I was very excited to order this union suit for my son for Christmas.
However, when he tried it on the fit was far from satisfactory. He wears small sizes of pretty much everything so I ordered one of these in a small. I wonder if L L Bean sized these union suits for giants. This particular item looked like one of those "fashionable" drop-crotch pants that Lady Gaga advocates. Additionally, the foot openings were far too tight to accommodate normal-sized feet.
However, the fabric was pleasantly heavy and I can imagine they would have been very warm if they had fit him.
If L L Bean were to change these many aspects I would consider exchanging the union suit I purchased for a new one.
