For a Union Suit with wool, it is not wool-warm. My cheap cotton long underware are as warm or warmer than the union suit.
Buttons are too small for the button- holes, they constantly keep opening up. Also there is too much material between the buttons, which may explain why the union suit is not warm and why the buttons keep opening up.
The blended material feels thin, with many loose threads.
Altogether, this union suit is a disappointment, not something I expect from LLBean.
Perhaps product testing and vendor oversight is not cost-effective anymore, or maybe my union suit is an isolated occurrence.
I bought this for my son for christmas this year. I know he will love it, he wanted it. Last year I bought the same thing for my daughter and son-in-law and they love them since they like the out doors and winter. There were no problems with them they are great.
I'm a tall (5'10") woman who just loves her union suit! I don't know why these are just for men. They're great for sleeping or lounging. The button flap works fine for nature calls :-) The suit would fit women 5'7" and up, sizes 6-10.
The colour didn't run on its first washing and shrinkage was minimal.
The suit is thick, so no tight fitting pants are out. My only minor quibble is that the cuffs aren't that stretchy.
The red one piece body suit is perfect to use as PJ's. I have bought these before and they were an instant hit. Wear is comfortabe, last a long time and washes well without shrinking.
