This was a gift, I wasn't sure I'd ever wear them. Turns out I LOVE my union suit. I wear them as pjs and to lounge in the evenings. It doesn't get cold enough in SF bay area to use them as an under layer, unless camping, and then I will use them for sure. These are not just undies for those folks living up north. I think they run a little big however, so if you want comfy stay to your true size. If you want form fitting, maybe try next size down.

(I am reporting on this product under my husband's log-in) I received this union suit in lavender as a Christmas gift from my husband. I must say I was a bit skeptical about the practicality of it but I LOVE it! I have found it to be so comfortable for sleeping. I have not yet had the opportunity to use it under clothing for outdoor activities but I think it would be perfect...it's warm...it's soft. The only thing is that if you plan to "use" the back opening you can't wear underwear with it but if that's not a concern for you, then GO for it!
