I purchased this item to give to my wife for Valentine's day. It looks good on her, she loves it and wears it often puttering around the house. She is very satisfied with the fit, comfort & warmth.
The underwear definitely kept me warm and toasty however it wasn't as soft and comfy as I had hoped it to be even though I washed and dried it first. Order one size larger than normally worn as they do shrink down a fair amount. I ordered a large even though I'm a medium and once washed they fit perfectly.
I have wanted to try a union suit for some time, and "L.L. Bean's" Union Suit has exceeded my expectations. It is very warm, soft, comfortable, light weight, and a perfect fit! "L.L. Bean's" quality products are second to none. I read all of the reviews listed for the Men's and Women's Union Suits before placing my order. Many of the reviews stated that the union suit was very generously cut, and long in the body. Some men commented that the body of the suit was too long, and did not fit them properly. I checked the size charts provided (men's & women's), and asked for assistance in ordering the correct size for my personal measurements. It was suggested (based on my measurements) that I order a women's, size X-large. I am a male, 6'-0", chest 40", waist 34", hips 39". It fits perfectly! The women's is cut slimmer, and shorter in the body. There is one less button on the women's compared to the men's, making the body a little shorter. I am slender - If you have big arms and legs, or a large bottom and big belly, do not order the women's size. It will not fit properly. The women's is cut slimmer. I hope this helps someone in finding the correct size.
I do have a couple of suggestions for L.L. Bean. Is it possible to make these in a wider selection of colors? Also, they would be much better if you used nylon zippers instead of buttons, for quicker, easier access. The front zipper needs to be a two-way zipper, so it can be unzipped easily from either the top, or the bottom.
