Now in it's 5th year, I live in the suit most winters. Was a gift in size large and I'm a fluctuating size 6-10 so it fit HUGE at first. However, I have since methodically shrunk it to fit snug in the arms and, albeit a little short in the legs, if right out of the dryer. Now I will likely hang it to dry the remainder of it's life. It is warm without feeling weighty, and it's itch free for realz. Those who felt it was rough, c'mon ppl, lower your expectations and launder. After only a few washings, the fabric softened nicely yet the fabric kept it's integrity, which isn't often the case. I am never cold or chilled and have been able to lower my thermostat at night sleeping under primaloft blanket wearing only this. For doggy walks, or low aerobic activities, this suit warms well, for higher aerobics, like skiing, or frigid runs/cycling, you do not need much more than a wind layer to keep you perfectly content - all without the midsection gap chill, so motion is never restricted by cold breezes. One layer warmth with no exposed skin or tummy means nice neat top layers too. I will don a thin wool tank or henley on coldest of cold (below 0-15) but even if just slouching on the couch, I never want to take it off. Would be a 5-star rating if only the button flap were effective. Didn't read all the way through the description of this latest version, so maybe it has improved. But my version, the flap has one lonely button to keep a rather enormous flap closed. This was poorly conceived as the only way to secure a rather large, chill producing area of the suit and from day one, it has never sealed correctly - or without gaps/window to the goods. Now in it's 5th yr and not a hole or frayed seam to be found, I'm ready to bring it to the seamstress for alteration of this flap...snaps perhaps? Whether lounging or cross country skiing, this is an LLB high quality piece which I consider a lifetime investment.
Gave one as a gift to a family member who is always cold. She LOVED it so much, not wanting to take it off when at home, that we quickly gifted her with a second suit in a different color! PS, her young granddaughter was so enamored of Grandma's special suit that we got her a matching one.
This is my first women's union suit and I am very happy with the way it fits and feels. I've had men's union suits from LLBean before and loved them but this version fits my slender frame perfectly without being baggy, bunchy or tight. I chose the pink heather color and I love it. I wear this suit around the house and then slide some jeans on over it to go outside. I recommend the union suit for lounging and outdoor activities.
