"I bought this watch at Ramstein AFB in Frankfor Germany in Feb 2003, when I was deploying to Iraq as a MP. I wanted a watch that I could use to keep track of the barometer, and temp because when you are going to live outdoors these things are very important! Even if it is a desert, storms do come up and watching the barometer is a good way to prepare for them. I also wanted a rough watch that could stand up to wear in a combat envrionment. The watch is large, but that is because the casing is not just cheap plastic. The watch stood up very well, whereas a lot of my friends were going through watches left and right because the fine sand would destroy them, mine looked just as good as it did when I bought it. The altimeter worked alright I set it at Ramstein AFB before I left using their field information; The barometer was right on. The watch shows an arrow graph so a glance can tell you if the barometer is dropping or falling it measures a 3 hour window, which is good to know. The thermometer maxes out at 140 degrees, and the one on my watch maked out a lot! A word of note to get a accurate temperature reading, the watch needs to be off your wrist and off of any conductive material. The compass needed initial calibration but that was not a big deal either. The alarms and dual time zone features were great. I still wear this watch today and people still ask about it. Yes, it is a big watch but not much bigger than a good divers watch. I have been waiting for the band to break to replace it, but after all these years it still hasn't. LL Bean is the only place I have seen this watch, and the price is excellent. This could be the last outdoor watch that you ever buy. Trust me!"

"I ordered one of these, but it was ridiculously big. I returned it. I'd recommend something with a much smaller face."
