My husband was annoyed that I spent over $100 on a sleeping bag. Then he used it. Now we fight over who gets it, and I am ordering another one. It packs the easiest of any bag we have ever had, is wide enough for my hip so I can turn inside, and is warm and comfortable. So I got an apology. Thanks, LLBean
I shopped for a new bag for 2 years, using my own, and lots of friends' bags. I finally settled on this bag and I can't imagine a better all around sleeping bag. It is beautifully made, with lots of thoughtful design features, light, packs small, and is extremely comfortable in a wide range of temps. Well done Bean. I can't imagine a better general purpose sleeping bag.
So far so good. We ordered 2 of them -- they arrived on time in 2 separate shipping. I bag (cover) seems to be a little small -- you'll need all the efforts to fold the sleeping bag and put it inside. One of the covers does not have a tightening rope; so, the sleeping bag tries to escape. We have a colder version of a sleeping bags; they do have 4 tightening strips on the cover's sides + tightening rope; it's very convenient to decrease the size when packing. I'd suggest this change. Other than that - I don't have more comments -- we'll try it soon in Bolivia at exactly about -20C.
Okay, this is only a partial review beause there is so much snow in the mountains I have not gone camping to use the bag yet...however...So far it appears to be of good construction, the fabric is wonderful, the down is plentiful, and it does stuff to a tiny size. I'll be going to high back country of Yosemite as soon as some of the snow clears and am totally looking forward to it. Will write more on my return...
