I bought this sleeping bag for my son's camping trip and thought it would be a good idea to launder it first. I followed the instructions on the label and brought it to a local laundrymat to wash and dry it in commercial size front load machines. The first time I washed and dried the sleeping bag it had a strong goose or poultry-like odor. I sprayed it with a natural lavender deodorizer, but the smell did not go away. I took it back to the laundrymat and washed and dried it again and the same odor remained. I exchanged it for another one, but now I'm afraid to wash it. We love the softness and the warmth but are curious if all goose down sleeping bags would have the same problem - strong goose odor -after it is washed.
I purchased one of these bags a few years ago and it is so roomy and warm. Haven't tried it at 0 degrees yet, but it's definitely toasty at below freezing temperatures.
Roomy yet warm, my new zero degree bag kept me snug on a recent single digit winter weekend backpack trip. Very satisfied and recommend this bag for sleepers like me who need more room than a mummy bag provides.

I bought this bag in anticipation of an extended camping trip through Europe. I used it several times and found it deliciously soft, cozy and warm. Then one night, in the dark tent with just the flashlight on we could see CLOUDS of dust coming out of it every time it was touched or moved. My PJ's also picked up had an odd 'wet dog' odor from the bag. I just returned this bag due to these issues. If the quality control issues were addressed I would consider trying this one again. If you choose this bag, you may want to check yours for this problem before deciding to keep it.
