I tell you, I am so thankful for this thing. I can load my kayak up on my driveway and walk it to the bayou (about three blocks) and it's so much better than having to carry it - which, at 41 pounds, is still a bit too heavy for me, especially because it's 12-feet long. So I highly recommend this cart. Plus, it even folds up and slides into your kayak compartment. What could be better?
This was a birthday present for my husband. He absolutely loves the independence it brings him. The cart works well with our canoe and also our sit-upon kayak. The only negative comment I have is that the item shipped with a huge picture of the cart on the side of the box. My husband was the one to receive the package and the surprise was spoiled as I was not with him to see his delight.
Very pleased with the construction and quality of this cart but unfortunately the surf kayaks we use here to go to the island are way too wide for it. Would have been great not to carry them across the sand each time.
After trying a few different carts, I found the best ones were very expensive and the moderately priced ones were not stable.
I was a little concerned that the wheels on this cart looked somewhat small. (I did not see wheel diameter mentioned on web site or in any reviews - they are 6-3/4").
This cart is extremely easy to hook up to the boat. With the V-shape, the seat belt type strap and the cockpit hook, it is very stable. We tried is on uneven terrain and it worked great.
It is compact enough to fit in the front hatch of my Tsunami 140 (9" inside diameter).
