I am always pleased with anything LLBean. Unfortunately, this particular product did not meet my needs. My kayak has a flat bottom. The cart has a V shape and would no doubt work well with kayaks with that shape but there is really no secure means fof attaching the flat bottom. The instructions indicate that a kayak like mine will simply sit higher in the carrier but I found that there was not enough surface to surface contact between the kayak and the cart. I do like the strap design. It will wrap around the kayak and then hook into the cockpit. Perhaps the v-shape needs to be adjustable or another model should be considered for flat-bottomed kayaks.
Not bad, however I thought it was bigger, I think it would be perfect for a one person kajak but mine is a two person. The details don't have any mesuarements or size.
This was recommended to me by a friend who loved hers. It's lightweight, it works, and the wheels are easy to remove and replace for stowing in the hatch.
My cart arrived with one of the axle spacer tubes being too short but it is still useable. The wheels of the cart are small and narrow, something like you will find on a cheap rolling barbeque grill. If you are planning to move your kayak across sand this is not the cart for the job. The cart is made well with good material. It connects quickly and securly in my application. I left it in place during on road transit without a problem, which helps by not having to remove and install at the beginning and end of a trip. It may be modifyable to be more useful by possibly changing the wheels to larger wider ones, which I have not done yet. I was able to stow the cart in my rear large hatch after disassembly.
