This is version 2 of the best little back helper for those who kayak alone. I love this cart - and it is even better than the first one I brought which is still functional but a little worse for the wear. I don't know what I would do without it. It packs up nicely in the kayak and is great when you can't get close to the water from the car. It also is a great help getting the kayak onto the car - gives me something to hold on to on the lift up and pull down.
I just love the Stowaway. It's a handy item to own. I can take the kayak out by myself without any trouble. No scrapping the bottom of the boat on rocks and it's easy to pull or push.
I have a sit on, flat kayak and have tried twice to use this cart. It was a real struggle as it kept collapsing under the kayak. Once to the water I loved the way it folded it up and I took it with me. I'm going to sell this to a friend with a traditional kayak or return it to Bean. Please find a travel friendly one for us with sit on top vessels.
Bought this carrier as we have a kayak and I hate carrying it down over the hill to the river. Husband does not want it dragged as the rocky ground would scatch kayak. I had to return it though, as we have a flat bottom kayak and it would not work.
