Beautiful design. Will fit 3 - 30” rod tubes. Holds my 8wt 5pc 9’, 5wt 5 piece 9’, and 3wt 5pc 8.9’ easily. Also holds my three reels comfortably. Very nice product.
This is a great bag for fly-rods, reels, and boxes. Room for 3 rod tubes ( up to 9') inside the main zippered compartment with elastic loops at both ends of the case to hold the rod tubes in place. The two zippered pockets on the outside hold plenty. I currently carry in this case 9' 5wt Double LL and 7'6" 4wt Pocket Water along with their respective reels, fly boxes and other accessories. The waxed canvas coating is water repellent. I carried it up a stream side trail in mid April during a late wet snow storm and the water beaded right off. The strap is adjustable and is attached at the end of the case on one side and about the middle on the back of the bag. I carry it over one shoulder or like a sling pack. There are also two velcro slash pockets on the back-side of the bag which could be used to slip some flat items into (folded strap, fishing licenses, maps, journals etc). The only way I could see this product being improved is if it was manufactured closer to it's final destination in NY state but at this price point you are getting a very nice piece of gear. I cannot emphasize enough that if it was made in the US even at at 10-20% more $ I would have bought it much sooner.
I purchased for a Bahamas remote island trip. No shops, had to carry everything. Then bouncy truck rides to the spots. This bag fit the bill. Durable, padded. I used PVC for tubes, only during flights, rest of the time broke rigs down and used the case. The pouches have zippers and for my large arbor spools, fly boxes too. The magnetic catch was a bit surprising to me, the buckles are just for looks. It was still perfect for the job.
