Sorry, these didn't do it for me

nice idea, particularly the water repellent fabric but the briar-proof facing seemed too thin and didn't come high enough on the thigh for me.

Very Rugged
PostedNovember 11, 2009
I bought these for my husband to wear while hunting. He loves them. They are hearty enough in the brush and burrs, but comfortable in the cut and material. We had to exchange for a size up, but they fit nicely. I like that you can choose the length, so they are not too long or short. They should last for many years to justify the cost.

Perfect, but not for grouse hunting

I agree with the other reviewer. These are wonderful upland hunting pants, but they have one major problem–the briar-protecting material doesn't extend far enough up the thigh.
Great light duty upland pants; maybe medium duty, definitely not grouse duty.

Excellent upland pants
PostedSeptember 14, 2009
I can't remember how many pairs of "waterproof" and "rugged" upland pants I've owned that were neither "waterproof" nor "rugged". Even a good pair of chaps will soak through the dewy vegetation of early bird season here in Upstate NY. You get wet, and you get COLD! Not any more. These pants do what they say--they are great gear and I would give them more than 5 stars if they came in a different color! Like maybe olive or khaki.....
