When I first saw these pants in the catalog, I was skeptical. After wearing them for a season, I'm sold. They are cool on warmer days and dry quickly when they get wet. They fit well and so far they are as tough as nails. I plan to buy another pair and my hunting buddy want a pair for Christmas.
This upland pant is lightweight, comfortable, strong, and makes those late afternoon pheasant walks much more enjoyable! This is one upland pant that will last season after season with abuse, and still be your favorite! Buy these pants; they are terrific!
After going through several pair of Upland Briar Pants because of seam failures, I was encouraged, by the sales person, to try these. They perform as I had hoped. I climb and cut trees, clear Himalayan black berry brambles, and other invasive plants, off trail hike and do house construction work. All of these are tough on pants. Most pants failed when they were wet from rain or sweat, stick to my skin when I tried to reach a foothold and a seam gave out. These have both a gusset and they stretch. Both work to prevent the problem. LLBean could eliminate the shell pockets to lower the cost and sell these as just one tough all around pant. Friends envy their performance.
True to fit. Excellent features for hiking and backcountry fishing as well as upland hunting. Nylon/cordura fabric dries much faster than cotton. Double facing on knees is nice in brush. Also not loaded up with a bunch of useless pockets on the legs that really become uncomfortable when filled with stuff.
