Ordered a replacement for a well-worn 2-1/2 inch Swiss Army Knife (with the L L Bean logo) - sides had fallen off, re-glued, etc. The replacement is 2-1/4 inches - why did they change? The 2-1/2 size was perfect. Have used Victorinox for years backpacking, and have given many small versions away as gifts. Top-drawer quality!
THe Victorinox Classic Pocketknife has been in my pocket for years- until I misplace it-or, as I found out when flying, it must be packed in the checked luggage! Great for hiking, kayaking, even cleaning the grooves on my golf clubs. The tiny but extremely sharp scissors are an added feature that I use frequently.
I can't live without this little gem. Toothpick, tweezers, scissors, nail file, knife, what else do you need to round out your purse? If you forget to put it in your checked bag when flying you will have to surrender it, something that's happened to me twice. I promptly ordered a new one. It's one of my favorite things to give all my friends.
I first became a fan of these little knives when a friend used the tweezer from his to remove a broken key from the ignition of my car. I bought one the next week. Since then I've given many as gifts; typically to female friends. All have loved them. Many still have them on their keychains years later. Just gave one of the pink ones to a friend fighting cancer. She really liked it. BTW: they are great stocking stuffers or token gifts of appreciation.
