My wife and I replaced our 12x12 Bean family tent with this (kids are grown and camping on their own). The tent was a perfect replacement, easy to set up roomy for us and the dog, and dry and sturdy in the wind. The only problem is putting in back in the stuff sack with which it comes. I recommend this tent to all!
My husband put it together by himself which is very impressive! Took about 45 minutes him alone. Very roomy but six people ...... I can't see it. Four people is more like it. We bought the footprint to go under it and we still had moisture come through.
Two of my four kids love to camp with my husband and I. We take our black lab along with us. We got the 6 man tent because we like the extra room. It was easy to set up, practical use of space and loved the flow through doorways. We stayed nice and dry and comfortable camping in the Jersey Pine Barrens in the summer. We were hoping the dog would sleep outside since he had gone in so much of the water but he kept scratching on the screens to come in and it never even snagged. I got this tent because we want to hike/kayak camp and this crossover tent gives us the extra room but is a very manageable weight at only 13 bls. We can't wait to go again just because we can't wait to use this tent.
We are a family of four (and 1 dog) and find that there is plenty of room in this tent. Setting up is easy and takes less than 10 mins. Overall we are very pleased with this product.
