I took this tent on a camping trip to iceland and it held up very well. It rained nearly every night and we were perfectly dry inside. Also, there were very high winds the last night and the tent held its ground. I especially want to compliment LLBean for their great service on this tent. I purchased it online only one week before I was supposed to go, so I needed it quickly and LLBean exceeded my expectations. I ordered it on a Sunday afternoon and it was delivered to my house on Tuesday.
Can't go wrong with this tent. Most of the weather I have used it in has been fair. Haven't been in extreme weather of any type, but believe this tent would be fine for most mild weather. For backpacking at lower eleveations, this tent is great. Maybe a bit heavy for its overall size, but doable. One big benefit for my wife is the dual doors. No more crawling over one another for those middle of the night trips to the tree!
This tent is great. Light, easy to set up and breathable. Without the fly you can enjoy the starts, with the fly you are protected from heavy winds and rain. Also holds in body heat very well during the winter and the best tent you can get for the summer. If you can spend the extra money, get this one.
