Great mug, keeps coffee hot and doesn't leak. Just watch the plastic pieces in the top, they tend to break. This is the third one in a year. Thank goodness LLBean has such wonderful customer service and free shipping. It is still the best travel mug I have found.
The heat retention is excellent. Just last week, I filled my bottle w/hot tea in the morning at around 6:30am and accidentally left it on the kitchen counter. When I returned home at 9:00pm, I opened it, expecting the tea to be cold. It was still hot! That's almost 15 hours later! I have a bunch of thermal mugs and this one has outperformed them all. Easy to sip and handle, great overall performance.

I adore this bottle, because not only does it have great temperature retention, it seals tightly and beautifully, *and* I can drink from it without having to decant the liquid into a cup. I had so many problems with other bottles leaking into my bag, it's a real delight to use this one with confidence.
This was an excellent investment. This cup kept the coffee hot for hours. It is easy to drink from while driving. It locks close so if tipped over it does not leak. If you have a small child this is essential because cups are constantly knocked over by them and there stuffed animals.
