This pack brings back memories of the Boundary Waters canoe trips I used to take with my dad. In those days the packs were made of rugged canvas and leather and were tough as nails.
This pack is no different. It is well-made, functional, and incredibly cool! I have had numerous compliments on it. I use it whenever I can as a photo bag, book/computer bag, a day-hiking pack, even an overnight pack.

I used this Rucksack extensively over the summer day hiking, camping and fly fishing in the George Washington National Forest in VA and hiking over 3 islands in the Hawaiian Islands. This pack is made of very durable canvas and can carry heavy loads without fear of the straps ripping away. It can take alot of abuse without worrying about damage. The side and rear pockets increase carrying capacity for easy to get to items like wallets, radios, gps, fly boxes, etc. Fits easily into airline overhead bins.
I am an avid LLBean fan for travel, camping, etc. This is my first use of their bags for a music gig bag, and I love it. I can carry a heavy load of music, mutes, instrument stand, light, etc. in this bag a far distance from the parking lot to the performance area. The padded straps protect my clothing. The top-loading is versatile and allows tall items to stick out the top. I attach water bottles to the side.
