Amazing! Top Quality. Quit wasting time and go buy one of these. I recently went back to school to finish my degree and purchased this and have had nothing but positive compliments on everything about this bag. I use it for school and it would also be nice for a short excursion in the hills. Its rugged nice xipper tabs and will not destruct! Its a beauty!
I bought the Waxed Cotton Continental Rucksack to serve as a masculine, yet urbane diaper bag and airline carry-on. It is well proportioned and of solid construction. The must seductive feature is the leather trim and bottom. Any L.L.Bean bag will take a beating and outlast most other bags on the market, but they do start to break down after 15 years; I expect the thick leather bottom of this bag to out-live any nylon bag and add longevity beyond chic (and it will probably look even better with age). Though old-school, the rucksack still has some up-to-date technical features like a padded back that keeps you cool and gives the bag a little extra structure, as well as elastic-banded mesh dividers in the outer patches to keep you organized. I also like that it has a belt for when you might need it, but the belt can be tucked away for all the times you don't. Attention was paid to detail with this bag. I hesitated because of the price, but I am well satisfied and I’m certain this bag will continue to deliver.
I am 5' 8" female and this pack fits perfectly; of couse, it can be adjusted to your height. It is very comfortable. I use this as my gym bag six times a week. This pack holds everything I need, towel, change of clothes, sneakers, slippers, water. I use the extra securty zippered pocket on the inside for my wallet while the one under the front flap holds my cell phone and gym card. This pack is truly water resistant; water bounces off.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good looking , rugged backpack with lots of room.
