I bought this rucksack two years ago and have used it on many trips. The pockets and the leather straps make it perfect for carrying lots of stuff. It's a bit large (my only complaint) so you need to pack it with consideration for weight, because it can be really heavy due to its size. It's so sturdy and I love the retro look. Like an Alpine hiker from the 30's. :o)
I enjoyed this purchase, although I was a little daunted by the size at first. Very comfortable straps, and lightweight, considering the size. I am trying to learn to pack lighter, and this was my test. I got an amazing amount of clothing into it, and this included fleece, wool and thermals. I ended up bringing more than enough for five days. I was pleased also with the sturdiness of the sack.
I bought my backpack a couple of years ago and waited to see how it held up before writing a review. This is the best, most practical backpack I've ever owned. I use it everyday and have taken it all over the world. I am currently living in Korea and the ruck serves as camera case, grocery bag, overnight bag, laptop case, briefcase and just about anything else you need to carry. Plenty of pockets and space. It just looks better with age.
