On first use the crimped metal holding the bungees together pulled out. I tried to tie it back together but the bungee was too short. I ended up using some longer cord I had in my shop. The cloth worked well in a rain storm and once modified worked well with my tent. Not worth full price if I have to repair it on first use.

It's a pretty simple product but in this case it is made very well and packs small. The material seems thin but it withstood 6 days under my tent on some pretty uneven terrain in the mountains last week. The corner grommets and clips go well with the tent it is made for as well. Kept the tent floor nice and clean on the bottom.
I'm going to have to make a floor for the entry of the tent though to help keep dirt and other junk out of the tent. It would have been nice to have this footprint extend under the entry. Then it would have been perfect.
The Vector 6 XL footprint is perfectly sized to the Vector 6 XL tent. The corners have nice, shock-corded webbing with grommets that fit the poles for the main tent. The shock-cords keep the footprint centered underneath the tent where it belongs.
To make it easier for me to put the tent up, I figured out which side went up (the coated side) and which sides are for the the front or back (the long sides) and the sides (the slightly shorter sides) and wrote with permanent marker on the top side of the footprint these notations: "This side up", "Front/Back edge", and "Side".
I used the Vector 6 XL and footprint twice during the 2010 camping season. Though there are no signs of wear after 1 year, to prolong its life I just (July 2011) cleaned the dome tent and sprayed it with 303 High Tech Fabric Guard. Water now runs off of the dome even more readily than it did the first year.
The materials and workmanship in the footprint and Vector 6 XL dome tent I purchased were both outstanding.
