Purchased this Kayak as a surprize for my husband last year. He thoroughly enjoys it. It is easy to handle,easy to get in and out of and is not too heavy.We live on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia and are surrounded by lakes and ocean. I think this year he will have kayaked most of them. Would highly recommend this Kayak.Agreat price and loads of enjoyment.
Kayak was delivered in 8 days in good condition. I was out on the water the next day, and after 3 hours in the kayak, still felt comfortable. The foot pegs change in a different way which seems strange. I do miss a drain peg but that's the only negative. It is the perfect kayak for a 75 year old small woman.
We bought two in early October and because of the unseasonably warm Columbus Day weekend, we got to use them right away. I had never kayaked before but I got the hang of getting in and out and paddling without any problem. I value the kayak's stability because I don't want to tip out into the water. We're buying another as a gift for my sister so it'll be a threesome out kayaking this spring. Thanks for such a quality product at a good price.
I purchased the Manatee Deluxe Kayak Package for myself and the Manatee Deluxe (blue) kayak for my 11 year old son. I also purchased the J-racks to transport the kayaks. we took the kayaks out today for a couple hours. They handled very well. I am a beginner so I took it slow. Even though my son had never been in a kayak he took off like a pro. We were on a lake with a mild breeze. We practiced going in circles, stopping and going straight. We were able to manuever the kayaks with no problem. The foot rests are easy to adjust and so is the seat. I would have liked a dry well storage area. The kayak has the dry well cover but there is no wall inside the kayak so the items get wet. We had a dry bag but it would be a nice feature. All in all we would recommend the kayaks to all. The J-racks were very easy to install. I was truly surprised that i was able to install them with no assistance and the straps and ropes helped keep the kayaks steady. Great deal. I am very happy with my purchase. Our next trip will be on the river. I will do another review afterwards.
