We received two of these kayaks in perfect condition about a week ago and have had them in the water (a small, quiet lake) a few times since. We are not very experienced paddlers but we found these kayaks easy to paddle, easy to steer, decently comfortable and adjustable, and surprisingly fast. We're delighted with them.
Last spring I ordered the manatee deluxe kayak package. I was very hesitant to order without actually being able to see it, but could not find what I wanted locally. It turned out to be a great value for the price I paid. It moves through the water with little effort which is important because I have arthritis. The opening makes it easier for me to get in and out of than other kayaks I looked at. I was totally satisfied with my decision and your product. Thanks!
I am a middle aged woman who was obsessed with finding a kayak that was stable in the water. I am not fond of tipping over and falling out even though I am comfortable on the water. My husband and I had looked at the Manatee but I wanted to try it before I bought it to make sure that this would be the boat for me. Well that didnt happen! It was a great price with the package deal and I was too excited to wait so I bought it with the guarantee that if I didnt like it I could return it. The next day we took it down the Susquehanna River -a tad tippy at first but then I got use to it and I had a blast but... it was still in trial phase. Next trip was down the Delaware near New Hope Pa. All was going well until "Wells Falls" "oh no White Water " I said many unpleasantries knowing I was going to flip over but..I made it, the Manatee stayed stable and I made it through the rapids. I will never give this boat up. I love it and it saved my life :) Many trips in different types of water since then and I still am thrilled with it! The only small negative that I am working on getting use to is the tracking is not always consistent depending on the air and water current, but then all 10ft rec kayaks are similar in that respect.
