I purchased the Manatee deluxe kayak for my 8 year old. The kayak handled beautifully on the lake in a light head wind. It was very easy to paddle and a great size! Last summer we purchased a Perception Swifty - very similar to the Manatee. The Manatee has a few extras that are nice. It is well worth the money and watching my child's face light up on the lake!
Excellent Kayak for lake and beginner Kayaker. After shopping everywhere there are no Kayaks in this price range to match these kayaks features. Weight is perfect, tracking and stability very good. Adjustable seat (horizontal and vertical) very comfortable. tip :Use a large kitchen bag for the storage compartment (fits perfect)
Perfect for a beginner on the river! I feel safe in it and comfortable. I'm 5'2 my husband is 6'2 we both have one and we are both happy with them. We have done several 3 hour trips on the river and have no complaints yet.
