This is smaller than I expected which is a good thing. The first time I used it I didn't turn it all the way off so I had to recharge. It seems to have pretty good sound for something so small.
The audio player was better than expected. We will be on a houseboat and this will come in handy...using the crank, and solar will save us diesel fuel having the run the boat to run the generator. And the weather radio is an unexpected plus!!
I saw the price drop and went for it. No big deal. Seems well made, so so sound, re-charges but no battery, crank it forever to charge and runs out fast. Not too loud. You can buy plenty of other battery powered models for same. So, if you really want a battery-less one, here you go. If you don't care and just want a good portable sound, this ain't it. Oh, and while it's smallish, I'd get something smaller if you're backpacking. Car camping, it's fine, but it won't go too loud so don't plan and playing catch or touch football and expect to hear the music. This is a "stand next to it and hear the tunes" type speaker.
This is a great little speaker to take with you or to just "move your music around the house." Sound is great for a little speaker, play time is decent, has a relative charge up time and is such a value with all the charge options and included carry case. Mine is with me at home and away!
