This is a very good product. It is very handy to take along on vacations and packs into its own case. It requires no batteries or external power. It does take quite a bit of cranking to get a full charge but works well on a partial charge. The sound quality is not perfect but is quite good considering the very small size and portability.
It is a nice little player if there is little to no background noise. It didn't work for my purpose. I wanted to use it in the car while I was driving long distances. With the volume up high the sound sort of vibrated and wasn't as clear. It worked ok at home, just not in the car. It seemed well put together.
The unit buzzed at moderate to high volume when connected to my ipod nano. The stereo-to-mono adapter did not remedy the situation. Item will be returned.
The Active Trax Audio Player does indeed work with my MP# player, and is a nice radio, too. We're outside a lot in our pool, so this is great for us to be able to listen to the MP3 player instead of radio or CD's which we've done in years past.
