I bought this to use at the beach with my Ipod. Couldn't hear ANYTHING, even with voume all the way up.Just sounded like noise. The radio didn't come in at all either. Maybe it's just where I live, but I was very disappointed in this product. Not LLBEAN usual exceptional quality. I sent it right back
If you get this on sale, go for it. I bought it for when our power goes out, and it is a nice little unit for that. It's nice to have the crank, and not to have to depend on batteries or to remember to recharge it. Sound quality is not great, but you can't expect much out of a little unit like this.
I bought this to be able to use at sporting events (on the sidelines) and beach vacations. The sound quality is really poor for that type of thing - regular travel computer speakers are far superior. Also - as someone who is mostly overseas the fact that the voltage isn't 110-220 (usable anywhere) means I have to carry a voltage converter and often an adapter as well making it less convenient.
I suspect I would bring it trekking or somewhere where sound quality isn't a big issue.
This is the 2nd Active Trax Audio Player we had purchased. The first one works great, have had for 3 years, our 14 year old uses with her Ipod shuffle (4 years old). Her younger sisters got Ipod shuffles that have the controls on the speaker wires, so they do not work with the newest Active Trax we purchased.
