I was asked by a colleague the reason for my continued loyalty to L.L. Bean after 40 years. I said there are no surprises about product, pricing or delivery from L.L. Bean. I have always been satisfied with my entire experience, whether shopping @ the store in Freeport, on-line or directly with a professional and knowledgeable sales associate. The Wilderness Recliner is the best chair I have found for the price.
There's a lot to like about this chair - it's lightweight, the back support and seat make sitting in it very comfortable. But when I reclined it, my head felt like it was hanging in space. I think head and neck support are crucial for a recliner - and the back is just to short to provide adequate support. So, reluctantly, I'm returning it.
comfortable chair...BUT...weird design...the back is held up by and adjusted via a weird cord system. Because of this, the back does not feel secure and is difficult to adjust. I much prefer the normal notched track back adjustment system that one normally finds on similar chairs
