I am really going to put it to the test this weekend at a festival. First impressions are it is a high quality chair. I sat on it for an evening party and it is comfortable. I'm a little worried about the reclining straps as that was most people's complaints and I am 5'11" and all but maxing out the weight requirements. I could feel it slinking back farther and farther during the evening and I had to adjust afew times. It's a little heavy and will probably be combersome to drag around, but the back straps will definitely be a lifesaver. This is definitely sturdier than a bag chair and if you need a low back chair, this is a good one to get.
This chair is on the expensive side for beach/camping. However it is extreamly comfortable. I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs, this has to be the most comfortable folding chair I have ever sat in. The back and seat are both padded and the height of the back is high enough to be able to sit in this chair for long periods of time. I think the adjustability to recline is very good.
I'm going to Cape Cod for the 4th of July and look foward to using it at the beach.
If your not strapped for cash and want a great chair get this one.
I purchased this chair after having borrrowed a friend's for camping. It's lightweight however carrying it on your back can be slightly uncomfortable. I used to use regular camping chairs, which were uncomfortable to sit in for long periods of time and often had to be replaced every year because of their cheap, flimsy design. This chair is extremely comfortable, provides great back support and is extremely sturdy. While it is more expensive, it is well worth the money.
