I read the review but still decide to purchase. Most reviews were dead on. Very difficult to carry on your back and the back of the chair does not go up high enough or have a pad for your neck. Love LLBean, but this one appeared not to be properly field tested.
The chair is kind of comfortable. The backrest is flimsy because there is a strap that goes around it. That strap is used for raising and lowering the back. The seat bottom seam ripped after the chair was used 4 times. The only good thing is that it's not as low to the ground as a normal beach chair. But once the seat ripped, it was tough to get out of the chair.
The main problem is the nylon webbing that adjusts the angle of the back. It is much too stretchy and therefore cannot hold the right position. Carrying the chair with the shoulder straps is an exercise in self-torture, with the bar and bracket digging into your neck or back.
