These snowshoes are easy to put on and fun to use to explore the winter forest. Walking is quite easy and uphill grades were not impossible. Three women in the family tried them and liked them. We'll be getting more.
My recent purchase was actually a replacement for the same product purchased in November 2005. My family only used the snowshoes on two occasions and when we opened our bags to use them this year, the plastic had split, cracked and separated on all the shoes. LLBean replaced them (thank you!) and I'm hoping these will last longer than two uses.
I bought these for my husband and myself, and they are perfect for a little winter exercise. We loved walking through the park on Christmas Day, trudging through a foot of new snow! The traction is great... we didn't slip at all and were able to go up and down steep hills with ease. They were very easy to put on , not nearly as difficult as the instructions made it sound. They worked great with my 25 yr. old L.L. Bean boots, too!
