We bought a pair for my wife last year and she used them once to get up a long driveway at our cabin. We opened the bag this year and four rivets on one shoe had popped! Four washers were still in the bag! Will call on Monday for warranty, but shoes are already over a year old, and only used once.
My husband gave me these for Christmas a year ago, along with boots. I love how easy it is to put these on and get out to activity. I also X-C ski but when I am short on time (and don't want to wax, etc.) and want a workout, I put on the snowshoes and have my heartrate up in minutes. The crampons provide wonderful traction on hills and crusty snow.
I bought my snowshoes last season, and I also got the poles and a bag to keep them in. I live near a park, so I can go get some exercise when it is snowy here. I love how light the snowshoes are, and easy to put on, even for me! I wear bulky clothes to keep warm, so the snowshoes must be easy to slip on and fasten, and these are. I can collapse the poles, and it all goes into the bag for storage. I am glad I bought this stuff, it makes me feel like a kid to play in the snow.
I bought a pair for my husband 2 years ago, and loved them so much, that i got some last year. I have a high-energy sheepdog that needs a lot of exercise. Walking in the fresh snow is a real challenge with a strong dog. These snow shoes are perfect! I have small feet and the bindings are fine, they are easy and quick to put on, and at 5 feet tall, I am able to stride in a natural manner. They are small, light and portable and let me get out anywhere/anytime. When I snowshoe with my family, I can enjoy the scenery and not spend the time fussing over bindings, and I can keep up with the dog in the deepest snow.
