I rented snowshoes the past couple of years and really enjoyed it. This year I received a pair for Christmas and fell in love with it because of these shoes. I am totally hooked. They are lightweight yet durable and are helping me achieve my winter fitness goals. Thanks LLBean for offering such a great product.
These snowshoes are great! I first bought a pair of the men's model for my husband a couple of years ago then found I was using them too and we wanted to go out together hiking on a trail near our cabin so got these for myself last year. They are easy to strap on and make hiking in the winter a lot of fun. I don't ski anymore but still wanted to get outside and these are perfect. Very easy to get around and see the beauty of Lake Tahoe in the winter. We plan to buy 2 more pairs for guests.
The bindings are MUCH too large for even the bulkiest boots in both Mens and Womens--and I have large feet. We were determined to keep both pairs and do the best we could--then a rivet broke on each pair--so one showshoe in each pair could not be strapped on. We have returned them for a refund, after only 2 outings.
