Flashlight is compact, fits nicely in hand or pocket. Great for emergencies in the car, at home, with no need to worry about batteries. Cranks easily for long-lasting light.
Now retired for a few years, in my other life I worked in the allied transportation industry selling equipment and service.
The original LED products were subject to the normal speed-bumps that come with most new product innovations. Over the years advances have led to much improved products and CONSIDERABLE cost reductions.
I purchased three of these little jewels, one for myself - two as (future) gifts. In two words, IT WORKS!! Plenty of light for any emergency and never a worry about batteries.
The only thing this excellent crank flashlight needs to be perfect is replacable bulbs. During a power outage yesturday, it was greatly useful, since the batteries on some of my other flashlights gave only dim or no light.
I have a 7yo and 3yo who both fear the dark. We've tried plug-in nightlights, but that doesn't do enough to calm fears of monsters on their way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. So then I tried LED recahargeable lights but after being dropped, the lights stopped working. Regular flashlights have batteries die at the most inopportune moments. The magnetic flashlights that you can shake are hard to store with the abundance of electrical goods in the house.
Then I came across this crank flashlight. I bought one for each kid and realized the genius of this purchase. They are small enough to be stored next to pillows, in the beds. They can charge them before bed and easily hold their charge all night long. The LED lights are very bright and the kids can go to the bathroom without screams of fear.
I highly recommend these lights for young kids. They are convenient and affordable. Wonderful purchase!
